During the meeting on March 16, 2022, the Government adopted a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On the peculiarities of accreditation of educational programs, within which those receiving higher education are trained under martial law”.
The purpose of this draft decision is to create legal preconditions for the issuance of documents on higher education to graduates of higher education institutions in 2022, given the impossibility of a full procedure for accreditation of educational programs by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance under martial law.
From now on, the validity of accreditation certificates of higher education institutions (research institutions) in specialties and areas of training and certificates of accreditation of educational programs within which those receiving higher education are trained, which were valid on February 24, 2022, extends until July 1 next year upon termination or abolition of martial law in Ukraine.
Also, the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance is temporarily allowed to accredit educational programs that provide training for higher education, remotely (in a distance format), as well as the decision on conditional (deferred) accreditation of educational programs without or with partial accreditation examination without paying the cost of accreditation by a higher education institution.
It should be recalled that the deadlines for submitting annual reports in the field of scientific, scientific-technical and innovative activities, as well as activities in the field of technology transfer for higher education institutions and research institutions have been postponed.
