Students of the academic group 101-FF, specialty 035 “Philology” of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy at the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” with the full support of the Head of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Oksana Vorobiova as well as the supervisor of the academic student group, Associate Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation Oleksandr Tupytsia continue to engage in charitable activities during the “Marathon of Good Deeds”, launched within the framework of the international charity movement “Giving Tuesday” (#GivingTuesday).
According to the first-year students of the Poltava Polytechnic, even while studying, they want to join charity and volunteer initiatives and help in every way the defenders of Ukraine, whose courage, strong morale and indomitability stop the enemy’s offensive at the front, who often defend our country’s territorial integrity and independence at the cost of their own lives. With encouraging support of their university mentors, the enterprising youth collected and handed over material assistance for the purchase of fuel and lubricants (gas) for the needs of the local unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The future translators had a conversation with soldiers and received a huge thanks from the military.
“We are firmly convinced that the bright future of our country is in the reliable hands of socially active, responsible and caring citizens! We are proud of the young Ukrainians’ generation who are clearly aware of their noble mission to become the driving force of their own country revival and are already providing the necessary assistance to our military today. Starting with small good deeds, we strive to change the world for the better!” – commented supervisor of the student group, Associate Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation at the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Oleksandr Tupytsia.
Earlier, the future translators visited the homeless animal shelter, and the Polytechnic was recognized for its active participation in the All-Ukrainian charity event “Brave Hryvnia”.
