The Ministry of Education and Science has approved the list of settlements where it will be possible to pass NMT in Ukraine. The corresponding order of the Ministry of Education and Science of May 16, 2022 No. 445 was signed by Minister Serhii Shkarlet. For security reasons, the names of the settlements where the testing will take place are not made public. However, from May 20 to June 7, inclusive, participants will be able to confirm their desire to participate in the NMT and choose the most convenient settlement for arrival from the list provided.
It is important to pay as much attention as possible to the choice of the settlement, since this information will allow you to continue to work on the formation of a network of temporary examination centers. The list of settlements where the security situation allows for passing NMT was determined by the regional military administrations at the request of the Ministry of Education and Science. It is tentatively planned that the testing will take place in 20 regions of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv. Currently, it is impossible to conduct NMT in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Participants who will not be able to reach the venues of the main NMT session will be able to apply for additional or special testing sessions.
On May 19, 2022, the Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet signed an order approving the list of temporary examination centers for conducting NMT abroad.
In recent months, the MES of Ukraine has been actively communicating with the Ministries of Education, representatives of non-governmental educational organizations in European countries, as well as with the embassies of Ukraine to create opportunities to conduct NMT abroad. Agreements with many European partners have now been confirmed, and therefore, Ukrainians who have been forced to flee their homeland due to the war will be able to enter their dream higher education institutions.
Testing is planned in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, France, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Sweden.
The NMT abroad will be held in the same way as in Ukraine, that is, in specially equipped computer centers, where Ukrainian-speaking pedagogues trained by Ukrainian experts will work with the participants. Consequently, entrance tests will traditionally be held on the basis of transparency and fairness – regardless of where the participants will take them.
"I am grateful to the ministers and partners for agreeing to support Ukrainian entrants at such a difficult time. Conducting the NMT in other countries is a difficult and complex task, but it is undoubtedly an important step among the many stages of returning Ukrainians home and rebuilding the state," – said Serhii Shkarlet.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science approved a calendar plan for organizing and conducting a national multi-subject test in 2022.
