On March 16, 2022, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet held an online meeting with the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, Petr Gazdík.
Serhii Shkarlet expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic for their unwavering support for Ukraine.
"Funds in the amount of 6 million euros have already been allocated for the education of students from Ukraine. Also, separate groups have been created for children receiving general secondary education, which allow them to quickly adapt to new learning conditions," – pointed out Petr Gazdík.
At the same time, websites have been launched to help students and scientists find information about Czech universities and research institutions, as well as possible scholarships or internships. A special website has been created for pupils, their parents and students, where they can find important information related to the Czech education system.
"I am convinced that many measures are ahead of us to implement joint ideas and initiatives, and cooperation between our countries will be further strengthened to deepen partnerships, develop new prospects and achieve the best mutually beneficial results. We thank the Czech people for their absolute support of Ukraine and comprehensive assistance," – emphasized Serhii Shkarlet.
It should be recalled that Estonia provides educational opportunities for young people from Ukraine.
