Nationwide minute of silence for the fallen takes place at the Polytechnic

The first nationwide minute of silence for the fallen, in accordance with the decree of the President of Ukraine, was held during a meeting of the Rectorate, where it was decided: every day at 09:00 academic staff of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” during classes are to announce a minute of silence for the fallen compatriots. An appropriate memorial poster has already been created.

“Now the whole of Ukraine is united by a common pain. Each new day at the university is to begin with a nationwide minute of silence for those whose lives were taken by the Russian occupiers. They kill the best of us: children, mothers, parents, students, scientists, ordinary workers, doctors, journalists, defenders, volunteers, our friends, acquaintances, colleagues.

We will not forget and we will never forgive Russian terror. We remember everyone whose life was prematurely taken by enemies, we mourn and recollect them during this minute of silence,” – said Rector Volodymyr Onyshchenko.

It should be recalled that the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has launched the interactive map of the destroyed and damaged educational institutions “Education in emergency”.
