The European Commission together with the European Education Fund presented a new version of the multilingual ESCO v.1.1 (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations) classifier with a Ukrainian translation.
The Ukrainian version of ESCO v1.1 contains the ISCO hierarchy, names of professions, basic abilities and skills. There is also expected an updated version (ESCO v1.1.1) to be released at the end of June.
To use the Ukrainian version, you need to go to the “Download” section of the ESCO portal, the translation was made with the support of the European Education Fund as an EU agency.
Access to the classifier will contribute to the integration of Ukrainians into European education and the labor market. The classifications are aimed at organizations that are ready to use modern data to facilitate the employment of people for:
- assessment, documentation and selection of people using Europass and Eures online platforms;
- analysis of “big data” on skills and professional trends to provide recommendations to institutions responsible for the development of relevant policies, coaches and end users (in Ukraine – the European Education Fund).
In addition, the ESCO team offers technical support and assistance for any other projects related to the integration of Ukrainians into the European labor market, for assistance you need to write a letter to EMPL-ESCO-secretariat@ec.europa. The European Training Foundation also launched the Europass page, allowing Ukrainians to create resumes in the national language.
