Scientist of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" – Associate Professor of the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Halyna Talovyria successfully completed an internship at the Higher School of Applied Sciences and Arts and the Leibniz University of Hanover. The Poltava Polytechnic teacher became a participant in the training courses that took place from September 20 to October 2, 2022, within the framework of the "Management of Internationalization of Higher Education" project under the program for the development of Ukrainian-German academic cooperation in support of DAAD.
As part of the internship and with the aim to study deeply the organization of the academic process, improve the quality of international cooperation, study the experience of cooperation between the city government and the Leibniz University of Hanover in joint projects, the scientist, as a part of the Ukrainian project group, visited the educational laboratories of one of the leading German universities. The project participant got acquainted in detail with the German higher education system, studied the experience of the University's International Office and met with representatives of the Hanover City Hall.
During the week, 14 project participants from various universities of Ukraine attended presentations and trainings dedicated to the topic of the internationalization of higher education. Speakers of the workshops were the Head of the International Office of the Leibniz University of Hanover Birgit Barden-Läufer and Deputy Head of the International Office Markus Hopp, who presented the structure of the office, main tasks and work principles.
In order to improve intercultural communication skills at the interdepartmental level, the Poltava scientist also attended a seminar on intercultural communication. As part of the internship, experienced coaches conducted a seminar on crisis management for the participants on improving the effectiveness of management work in various crisis conditions as well as.
"For me, this is really a colossal scientific and international experience, an opportunity to get acquainted with the system of higher education in Germany, expand my cultural horizons and improve my professional competencies. Time actively spent at trainings, scientific and educational locations visited, exchange of ideas and effective teaching life hacks with colleagues motivates me to use the acquired knowledge in practice even more effectively.

It should be recalled that the Poltava Polytechnic scientist presented the innovative activities of the university during the Days of Ukraine in Lower Saxony and the EAIE-2022 conference-exhibition in Barcelona.
Earlier, the head of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy shared successful cases of training the specialists, and the philologist-scientist presented the possibilities and advantages of the European Solidarity Corps volunteer programs.
