On the occasion of the World Creativity and Innovation Day, students of groups M-21, M-31 and PM-33 of the Communal Institution “Poltava City Multidisciplinary Lyceum named after I. P. Kotliarevskyi” visited the educational and scientific locations of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” on an educational visit. Teachers and schoolchildren held non-standard educational classes and familiarized themselves with the thematic expositions of the People’s History Museum of University named after Nadiia Kocherha.

While getting acquainted with the exposition dedicated to the life and scientific activity of the outstanding Poltava scientist-inventor Yurii Vasylovych Kondratiuk (Olexandr Sharhei), lyceum students with their mathematics teachers – Nataliia Sushko and Tetiana Ptychenko studied historical facts related to the calculations of the world-famous “Lunar orbit rendezvous (LOR)”, developing mathematical erudition when solving non-standard problems. The most active participants of thematic games received small incentive prizes.

“We are sincerely grateful to the Poltava Polytechnic for the comprehensive support of our joint educational initiatives and the opportunity to use the excellent material and technical base of one of the best universities in our country for the development of the personality of a scientist, athlete, artist, and youth leader. As part of today’s event, we learned a lot of interesting, unknown things, in particular, a number of details about the life of the prominent Poltava citizen Yurii Kondratiuk, whose famous formula for calculating the trajectory of a man's flight to the moon is well known in the European scientific world. Together with the students, we once again reached a unanimous conclusion that mathematics is a universal tool for learning about natural phenomena, a powerful foundation for the development of modern technologies. Despite the war, we are developing, learning, self-improving,” – commented the mathematics teacher of the Communal Institution “Poltava City Multidisciplinary Lyceum named after I. P. Kotliarevskyi” Nataliia Sushko.

After the classes, the lyceum students went on a campus tour of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”.

It should be recalled that previously high school students visited the unique Museum of Money and learned the basics of financial literacy, schoolchildren from the Poltava region presented research in the field of linguistics and translation studies, students and schoolchildren learned translation hacks from Ukrainian professionals, schoolchildren learned about future professions in the field of management and law, students and schoolchildren visited master classes of German language assistants.

Recently, teachers and schoolchildren celebrated the main Christian holiday of the year with a themed speech event, scientists, students and museum workers celebrated the International Day of Human Space Flight, and a Polytechnic student became the bronze winner of the international scientific competition “Black Sea Science” by researching “intelligent” microclimate control systems.
