From October 5 to 8, the Ukrainian Cup in kettlebell sports took place in the city of Kyiv, in which more than 250 athletes representing 18 regions of our country took part. A large-scale prestigious tournament was dedicated to the memory of athletes who died as a result of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, and based on the results of the competition, the Ukrainian kettlebell sports team was formed to participate in the World Championship.
The athletes of the kettlebell section – students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” – became active participants of the Cup of Ukraine, winning gold, silver and bronze awards, demonstrating good results in confrontations with experienced opponents.
As part of the picked team of the Poltava region, the following successfully performed at the competition:
- Kateryna Zuieva, Candidate for Master of Sports of Ukraine, student of group 101-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports – 1 silver and 1 bronze medals;
- Elyzaveta Myrna, Master of Sports of Ukraine, student of group 301-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports – 3 gold and 1 bronze medals;
- Oleksandr Svyrydenko, Master of Sports of International Class of Ukraine, student of group 301-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports – 3 gold and 1 silver medals;
- Anton Chuiko, Master of Sports of Ukraine, student of group 301-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports – 1 gold and 1 silver medals;
- Artem Dulenko, Master of Sports of Ukraine, student of group 101-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports – 2 silver and 2 bronze medals;
- Oleksandr Tsybulko, Master of Sports of Ukraine, student of group 301-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports – 2 silver medals.

According to the results of the competition, the athletes of the Poltava Polytechnic won the first place in the overall team standings.
The winners and prize-winners of the competition are awarded certificates of honor as well as gold, silver and bronze medals.

Recently, two students of the Polytechnic became the winners of the Cup of Ukraine in bench press and classic bench press, and a teacher and a student of the Polytechnic became the winners of the Cup of Ukraine in bench press and classic bench press.
