“We are proud that our glorious university has been named after the outstanding Ukrainian scientist and inventor Yurii Kondratiuk for 26 years in a row. An outstanding cosmologist with non-standard, but well-thought-out solutions, a pioneer of space activity Yurii Kondratiuk is a treasure of the entire world science, who is highly valued by the people of the 21st century.
The decisive factor in Kondratiuk’s scientific developments is that he considered the conquest of interplanetary space as a means of improving people’s lives on Earth.
In my opinion, Yurii Kondratiuk can serve as an example for today’s youth. His high mathematical erudition, unstoppable desire for self-education, constant work on himself, irrepressible desire to achieve his dream captivated both contemporaries and descendants.
So I wish all of us, well-known scientists, young scientists, and students, good luck in achieving our goals, creative plans and their successful implementation! After all, we all have to work for Victory, hold the educational front with dignity and build plans for a peaceful future!” – noted the Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Work of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Olena Stepova.

Without exaggeration, I will say that the significant achievements of the outstanding Poltava resident were far ahead of their time and became a reference point for generations of talented scientists. I wish each of us success, inspiration and Victory!”.

It should be recalled that Yurii Kondratiuk was notorious for his extraordinary hard work and determination all his life. No matter what he did, he took his work extremely seriously and was always creative. He was often called a dreamer. It’s true, he really dreamed of flying into space. However, these dreams also had a practical focus: to make life on Earth easier. Many years later, his dreams were destined to become reality: thanks to the scientist’s extremely accurate and inventive calculations, a track appeared that opened the way for mankind to the moon. Years pass, and the “Lunar orbit rendezvous (LOR)” remains the only rout to our nearest space satellite.
