Poltava Polytechnic is not to increase tuition fees due to inflation

The administration of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" will not increase tuition fees for students who study at the expense of individuals and legal entities, despite inflation.

"In order to ensure the provision of educational services in conditions of a significant increase in their cost price, once a year a higher education institution that provides educational services to students on a contractual basis has the right to forcefully change the amount of tuition fees, increasing it taking into account the inflation index. This is regulated by the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education", the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 07.09.2020 No. 1113 "On approval of the Model Agreement on the provision of paid educational services for the training of specialists" and current legislation.

The amount and terms of payment for training, preparation, retraining, advanced training, and for the provision of additional educational services are established by the contract. The institution of higher education has the right to change tuition fees in accordance with the procedure stipulated by the contract, no more than once a year and no more than the officially determined inflation rate for the previous calendar year.

Over the past year, inflation has caused significant price increases in all areas. But our financial indicators allow us to provide support to students. We will not charge indexation," – explained the first vice-rector – Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Economic Development Olena Filonych.

The vice-rector also reminded about the financial discipline of students on a contractual basis and timely payment of educational services. The fee can be paid for the entire period of study, in full at once or in parts – monthly, every semester, every year.

"We support young people in every possible way and understand the predicament in which many families have found themselves due to objective reasons. There is a war in the country and everyone contributes to the victory. The desire of children to study in Ukraine is very encouraging – it is also a contribution to victory, as the enemy seeks to devastate our cities, destroy education, science, and culture. The university staff does a lot to support the defenders, volunteer movement, provided the educational process live. Now we want to support young people, especially since there are a lot of talented students studying on a contractual basis. We use the funds from tuition fees to develop the material and technical base of the university. Currently, thanks to powerful partners and business investors, we can take this step forward and not increase tuition fees, but we maintain the high quality of educational services and the best conditions for studying. National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" confidently holds the educational front and invites you to study!" – commented the rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.

Recently, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine presented a model of the admission campaign to higher education institutions in 2023.
