The unique capabilities of the high-tech equipment sent by the British partner university were jointly tested by members of the Academic Council of the university, headed by the rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, and representatives of the student government, and the potential of the chromebooks was discussed, which will definitely not become a museum piece for future generations of students.
“I congratulate our many thousands of academic workers and the student team of Poltava Polytechnic on another significant achievement!
I am happy that despite the war, Poltava Polytechnic is developing dynamically, and we are happy about the prospects that are extremely useful for the innovative development of our university!
I can’t hide my joy when I see the pleasant emotions on the faces of my colleagues, who are already planning their own work in the next academic year in the conditions of the active digital transformation of Ukraine.
For more than a month, the valuable cargo travelled across Europe to Ukraine to become a part of the innovative, 100-seat auditorium named after Academician Volodymyr Vernadskyi of Poltava Polytechnic!
The innovative auditorium has been easily transformed into a large-scale conference hall, where we can hold various professional events, invite representatives of business companies and conduct a constructive dialogue with scientists from different parts of our country.
The modern facilities of the unique auditorium have been supplemented with chromebooks, which our friends and partners of Ukraine from London Metropolitan University have donated to support the fight that our Ukrainian people are having against the terrorist country!
Poltava Polytechnic is becoming even more potentially attractive for modern youth, who are now familiar with digital technologies from a very young age!
We will actively use the opportunities given to us, maintain the dynamic pace and keep our leading positions in the TOP of the best universities, which are the ones who are going to be the future of the high-tech industry!” – commented on the important in the life of the university rector of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
According to Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Work of Poltava Polytechnic, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Olena Stepova, the pleasant emotions and the excitement for the cargo crossing the state border and travelling through the country where the full-scale invasion was going on did not let go until the final moment of the meeting: “An extremely important event in the history of our Alma Mater! The support of our foreign colleagues in this extremely difficult time motivates us to keep going, move forward and develop!
The staff of Poltava Polytechnic is grateful to our friends for their comprehensive support and already has promising plans to use modern equipment for the innovative development of our university!”
It should be recalled that National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” has been actively cooperating with London Metropolitan University for more than a year within the Twinning Programme, and as one of the best multidisciplinary classical universities it has been successfully implementing the Memorandum of Scientific and Educational Partnership.
The British partners decided to express their support for the unbreakable Ukraine by donating chromebooks that open wide scientific and educational horizons to Poltava Polytechnic. Such innovations greatly expand the range of unique opportunities and give university teachers and students the opportunity to upgrade their professional competences.
