On May 23, a historic event took place at the solemn meeting of the Academic Council of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” – the signing of a trilateral Memorandum on Joint Activities between National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” and National Technical University “Dnipro Polytechnic”.
The entering into the contract took place within the framework of a working visit of the two partner universities delegations to the Poltava Polytechnic. The participants of the signing ceremony were members of the Academic Council of the university – heads of structural subdivisions, heads of departments, members of student self-government and representatives of delegations of Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia Polytechnics.
“In the life of the Poltava Polytechnic, an extremely important historical event is taking place, as despite the war, higher education institutions continue to join forces for the approaching Victory of Ukraine over the enemy. It is with great pleasure that I note the fact that friends and colleagues from the National Technical University “Dnipro Polytechnic” and the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” visited the Poltava Polytechnic, who will exchange their enormous experience and share joint developments.
The areas of scientific activity of our universities are very similar, but despite this, each university has its own specifics and a unique scientific and educational, laboratory base. The signing of the trilateral Memorandum provides an opportunity to join forces and share the best achievements. I am sure that in the near future we will start to fill the contract with concrete matters aimed at the development of our state,” – commented the rector, Professor Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Onyshchenko.
The honorable mission of signing the historically important document was carried out by the rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Onyshchenko, the rector of National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”, Professor Viktor Leonidovych Hreshta and the rector of National Technical University “Dnipro Polytechnic” Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Aziukovskyi.
According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic, their university combines the good traditions of scientific and educational cooperation with the Poltava Polytechnic, and the rector, Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Onyshchenko, is an honorary professor of the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”.
“Six years ago I visited this well-known higher education institution, today I came here as a rector and did not recognize the university – a lot of work has been done on the Central campus of the university, on the decoration of the territory, excellent material and technical base. This is a great achievement, first of all, for the team of the Poltava Polytechnic and definitely for the rector, Volodymyr Onyshchenko, who lives for his university.
I convey greetings from the entire team of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic, we have many areas of mutual cooperation and we hope that we will all move in the direction of comprehensive mutual support for the future of our country. We are actively following you, we are extremely happy about your achievements!” – said Viktor Leonidovych Hreshta.
In accordance with the terms of the signed Memorandum, among the main directions of cooperation in educational activities: ensuring the development of the educational training structure and content as well as forms of educational process effective organisation, exchange of textbooks, in particular electronic, methodical developments in engineering-technical, humanitarian, natural-scientific disciplines, implementation of projects regarding the joint publishing of educational and scientific-methodical products, educational and scientific publications, organization of joint conferences, symposia, seminars, student conferences, scientific papers competitions, Olympiads, other scientific forums, academic mobility of students, doctoral students, teachers, development of joint educational as well as educational and scientific programs, establishment of joint management of doctoral students, invitation of university representatives to hold open training sessions for those receiving education of all levels, etc.
Scientists of three powerful Polytechnics will be involved in the preparation and implementation of joint research projects along with participation in national and international competitions, programs, funds, exchange of scientific information, joint organization of international scientific conferences, publication in scientific specialized publications, results of scientific work of scientific, academic and other workers on a free basis.
The agreement also provides for the joint development of infrastructure, support for innovative activities at partner universities, joint implementation of a set of activities aimed at expanding fundamental, research and applied research and commercial development of the results of scientific research, cooperation of science parks of partner universities and mastering the mechanisms of international technology transfer, strengthening on this basis of the principle of commercialisation of knowledge.
“We are convinced that our cooperation will have many more effective practical cases that can be used in partnership with other universities. We do not limit ourselves to the triad “Poltava – Dnipro – Zaporizhzhia”, we dynamically develop further, Poltava Polytechnic is always open to cooperation with friends and partners. We confidently hold our own scientific and educational front!” – summed up the Rector of the Poltava Polytechnic, Professor Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Onyshchenko.
Previously, Polytechnic signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Poltava Regional Employment Center, with the Scientific and Research Institute of Providing Legal Framework for the Innovative Development of National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, and with the Kharkiv IT cluster.
