The Student Chapter of SPE of Poltava Polytechnic is the largest community of motivated young oil and gas specialists in Ukraine, and it takes an active part in organising and holding specialised events for both oil and gas students and experienced energy industry professionals.
Last year, SPE Student Chapter of Poltava Polytechnic held a number of important events aimed at developing students and promoting the oil and gas industry. Excursions were organised to the production facilities of Ukrnafta, Ukrtransnafta, Ukrtransgaz, as well as to the training ground of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, where students gained important practical knowledge for their further successful professional development.
Implementing student initiatives at Poltava Polytechnic is always supported by the university administration and personally by the Chairman of the Academic Board, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, who actively promotes the SPE activities.
Student symposiums and professional workshops in Poltava have become an integral part of the activities of SPE Chapter of Poltava Polytechnic.
Students, members of SPE, are actively involved in motivational and technical meetings, workshops and networking. Several professional seminars were held with technical presentations by reputable oil and gas industry experts, such as representatives of Geosynthesis Engineering, UKRNAFTA, UGV, DTEK Oil&Gas, and Weatherford.
Representatives of the SPE Student Chapters in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Dnipro joined these events.
A special event was the meeting with Pierre-Emmanuel d’Huart, Regional Director of SPE Europe, who personally visited the SPE student chapter of Poltava Polytechnic.
With the support of SPE Central Ukraine Section, Anastasiia Molodcha, Student Officer of SPE Student Chapter, student of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas, represented SPE Poltava Polytechnic at the 100th anniversary SPE ATCE 2024 in New Orleans (USA).
The development and active work of SPE Student Chapter of Poltava Polytechnic is carried out in cooperation with SPE Central Ukraine Section (Chairman Yurii Moroz). Viacheslav Filatov, Head of the Field Analysis and Modelling Department of JSC UkrGasVydobuvannya, Head of Student Programmes of SPE Central Ukraine Section, Maksym Dorokhov, Head of Technology Development at DTEK Oil&Gas, SPE Officer of Poltava Professional Chapter, PhD in Engineering, graduate of Poltava Polytechnic, are involved in organising and holding the events.
The activities of SPE Student Chapter of Poltava Polytechnic aimed at ensuring the technical competence and professional training of young specialists – future professionals of the oil and gas industry – were awarded with the prestigious award, demonstrating the international level of recognition of the quality of oil and gas education at National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”.
