Participants can choose one of the three areas in which the competition is held:

- network (IP technologies including Datacom, security, WLAN and DCN)

- cloud (IP technologies such as Cloud, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence)

- computing (IP technologies such as OpenEuler, OpenGauss and Kunpeng).

ICT Competition is an important part of the ICT Academies network, a platform for students and teachers whose overall goals are:

  • developing talents in the field of ICT, preparing them for the future, and promoting learning, teaching, and exposure to innovations in the world;
  • the competition gives students the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and at the same time receive various awards and honours. It also allows teachers, colleges and universities to demonstrate the quality of their students’ knowledge and expand their influence in the ICT industry;
  • the competition promotes the development of a range of skills: creative, entrepreneurial, communication, as well as teaches participants how to work effectively in a team.

Subsequently, these qualities will help participants succeed in their careers. Combining economic and social value, the competition promotes the introduction of the latest ICT technologies (Internet of Things, big data and artificial intelligence) in production, education and further research.

Students of Poltava Polytechnic Vasyl Anton, Volodymyr Kostenko and Yehor Popov successfully passed the training courses in OIT Technologies, AI, Machine Learning and Computer Network. Yehor Popov successfully passed the national stage and was selected for the regional stage.

The final competition will take place in May 2025 at Huawei’s headquarters in Shenzhen, China. The finalists will have the opportunity to visit the company’s campus, exhibition halls, and work with advanced technologies such as MindSpore, ModelArts, and IoT.
