National University “Yurii Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” in partnership with the Peace Corps Ukraine is proud to offer an exciting new international course titled “Strategic Digital & AI Communication: From Analytics to Global Engagement”, led by Maria Petrescu, Associate Professor at the Department of Business Administration, College of Business, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Florida, the USA).
The course is facilitated by Poltava Polytechnic’s Associate Professors Anna Pavelieva and Alina Kudinova. This program will empower students to develop advanced knowledge, practical skills, and a critical understanding essential for thriving in an interconnected, multicultural, and increasingly AI-driven professional world.

Maria Petrescu – Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration, College of Business, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Florida, USA).
Education:
- Ph.D. – Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration, Florida Atlantic University
- M.B.A. – Master of Business Administration, Nova Southeastern University
- B.A. – Bachelor of Arts in Communications: Journalism and French, West University of Timisoara
Maria’s Areas of Expertise:
Dr Petrescu’s research extensively covers Marketing Analytics, with a strong focus on AI in Marketing and Experiential Immersion Education. Her work explores how AI can be used to detect fake online reviews, optimise e-commerce literature searches, and understand consumer behaviour in AI-enhanced retail interactions. She also investigates cross-cultural market segmentation, analysing the role of technology’s emancipative and traditionalist values across different cultures. Other key interests include the motivations behind luxury consumption, social responsibility in marketing, the digital transformation of communications, the ethical aspects of AI, and aviation safety and sustainability. She is dedicated to understanding consumer behaviour in the digital age, to data-driven decision-making, and to the ethical challenges of integrating AI into business communication and marketing.
