Members of the National Team of Ukraine continue to demonstrate excellent sports results at the International Canoe Federation Dragon Boat World Championships, which was held on September 1-4, 2022 in the city of Racice (Czech Republic). Participants of prestigious international competitions won sets of awards in intense competition and exciting sports clash.
Kateryna Petrenko, a student of group 401-FS of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports" of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", became the bronze medalist of the Dragon Boat World Championships and replenished the treasury of awards of the National Team of Ukraine.
As part of the team, the athlete became the best at the following distances:
- 22D mix at a distance of 2000 meters;
- 22D seniors women at a distance of 200 meters.

Recently, a student of a Polytechnic became the world champion in powerlifting among juniors, a student of FPCS received the title of Master of Sport of International Class of Ukraine in arm wrestling, the President of Ukraine awarded the Order of Merit of the 2nd degree to a graduate of the university – a champion in Thai boxing, and Polytechnic teacher was awarded the Citation of the City Mayor for a significant contribution to the development of physical culture and sports in Poltava.
It should be recalled that the Poltava Polytechnic hosted the WAKO Kickboxing Championships of the Poltava Region, a streetball tournament and a city school football tournament as part of the All-Ukrainian project "Be Active for Peace".
