On January 20-21, 2024, the first training camp of the Ukrainian Youth Cheerleading (Freestyle) Team took place at the state-of-the-art sports base of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", where the athletes demonstrated excellent results.
In the training camp, the coaches – the Master of Sports of Ukraine in cheerleading, judge of the second category Anastasiia Arkanova; the Master of Sports of Ukraine in cheerleading, judge of the first category, multiple champion and prize-winner of the European and Ukrainian Championships, Candidate of Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor of the Department of Choreography and Dance Sports, the coach of the cheerleading section of the Poltava Polytechnic Tetiana Synytsia and the President of the Poltava Cheerleading Federation Serhii Synytsia have determined the lineup of the main and reserve athletes who will be preparing to participate in the European Cheerleading Championship, which will be held in the city of Oslo.
The mentors, together with the athletically gifted youth, conducted active training sessions and were satisfied with the results. A total of 23 athletes from different cities of Ukraine – Poltava, Kyiv, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia participated in the selection for the Ukrainian national cheerleading team.

It should be recalled that earlier the cheerleaders of the Poltava Polytechnic became gold and silver medalists of the Open Championship of the city of Poltava, the Polytechnic cheerleaders became the gold medalists of the XVII Championships of Ukraine among pupils and students, and successfully debuted at the European Championship held in Italy.
Recently, Polytechnic master's student Liudmyla Luzan won a license for Ukraine for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, law enforcement officers and rescuers competed in the championship in kettlebell sports, and a children's regional physical culture and recreation event was held on the basis of the Polytechnic.
