Polytechnic cheerleaders win gold and silver medals at the Kyiv Open Championships

Students of the Poltava Polytechnic successfully performed as part of the Poltava picked team at the Kyiv Open Cheerleading Championships. The athletes became gold and silver medalists of the tournament in the nominations “hip-hop team”, “hip-hop quartet”, “hip-hop duet”, “jazz team”, “jazz duet”, and “dance team”.

On November 20, the Kyiv Open Cheerleading Championships was held in the Ukrainian capital, where experienced athletes, disciples of sports clubs from different parts of our country, demonstrated their sportsmanship, excellent sense of musical rhythm, gracefulness of movements, grandeur and coordinated team performances. Spectacular performances of the participants charged with sports success gave the audience incredible emotions and driving energy. The highly professional jury noted the high level of preparation and excellent physical shape of the athletes. Winners and prize-winners were determined in six nominations – “hip-hop team”, “hip-hop quartet”, “hip-hop duet”, “jazz team”, “jazz duet” and “dance team”.

The cheerleaders of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” successfully performed as part of the Poltava picked team at the Kyiv Open Championships and added gold and silver medals to their own sports awards. Poltava Polytechnic was represented at the championship by: Kseniia Kolomiiets, Master of Sports of Ukraine, student of group 301-FM; Yelyzaveta Nikulina, student of group 301-FS; student Anastasiia Shendryk. The athletes are coached by the Master of Sports of Ukraine in cheerleading, Candidate of Sciences in Physical Education, Head of the Department of Physical Education of the Poltava Polytechnic Tetiana Synytsia.

In the arsenal of the Poltava Polytechnic female athletes, there is a gold medal in the “hip-hop” nomination for a team performance. The convincing victory was the result of long, hard trainings and positive attitude of the whole team for success in these prestigious competitions.

University cheerleaders became the best in several nominations:

  • 1st place in the “hip-hop team” nomination – Anastasiia Shendryk, Yelyzaveta Nikulina, Kseniia Kolomiiets, Tetiana Synytsia;
  • 1st place in the “hip-hop quartet” nomination – Anastasiia Shendryk;
  • 1st place in the “hip-hop duet” nomination – Anastasiia Shendryk;
  • 1st place in the “jazz team” nomination – Kseniia Kolomiiets;
  • 1st place in the “jazz duet” nomination – Kseniia Kolomiiets;
  • 2nd place in the “dance team” nomination – Kseniia Kolomiiets.

“We are sincerely delighted that our team was once again able to demonstrate excellent results, since every performance was polished by hours of hard training and filled with personal positive motivation of our athletes. I admire the spirit of girls who live in sports, dedicate many hours of free time to classes in the gym, share new creative ideas, and experiment. Personally, as a coach, our joint victories charge me for new, even higher results. I believe that the main thing is not to stop at what has been achieved and to continue to work on yourself in conquering the peaks of the sports Olympus!” – commented the coach, Master of Sports of Ukraine in cheerleading, Candidate of Sciences in Physical Education, Head of the Department of Physical Education of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Tetiana Synytsia.

The female athletes of the Poltava Polytechnic will soon demonstrate their sportsmanship at the Cheerleading Championship of Ukraine, which is to take place on December 4, 2022 in the city of Lviv.

Previously, the Poltava Polytechnic cheerleaders became the winners of the Poltava Championships, the winners of the Cup of Ukraine and the second time they became the winners of the Championships of Ukraine.
