On October 23, the state-of-the-art sports base of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" became a large-scale location for holding the Poltava City Cheerleading Championship. More than 60 pupils of sports clubs and experienced athletes of the city of Poltava demonstrated their sports skills, an excellent sense of musical rhythm, grace, spectacular performances, the work of the whole team and love for sports. The youngest age category was represented by young Poltava talents aged three and over, who gave the audience positive impressions and an incredibly driving atmosphere.

The team of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" made a successful debut at the Poltava City Cheerleading Championship and added gold and silver medals to the Polytechnic's sports awards. Poltava Polytechnic was represented at the competition by master of sports of Ukraine Kseniia Kolomiiets, student of group 301-FM Yelyzaveta Nikulina, student of group 301-FS Iryna Koretsman, student of group 102-FS Anastasiia Holub, student of group 101-FM Anastasiia Shendryk. The athletes are coached by the Master of Sports of Ukraine in cheerleading, Candidate of Sciences in Physical Education, Head of the Department of Physical Education of the Poltava Polytechnic Tetiana Synytsia.
The team's arsenal includes a gold medal in the "hip-hop" nomination for team performance. Students of Poltava Polytechnic made a significant contribution to this convincing sports victory, which was the result of long, hard training.

University female athletes became the best in several nominations:
- І place in the nomination "dance-team" – Kseniia Kolomiiets;
- І place in the nomination "hip-hop-team" – Anastasiia Shendryk, Kseniia Kolomiiets, Yelyzaveta Nikulina, Tetiana Synytsia;
- І place in the nomination "jazz-team" – Kseniia Kolomiiets;
- І place in the "hip-hop quartet" nomination – Anastasiia Shendryk;
- І place in the nomination "dance-duet" – Kseniia Kolomiiets;
- І place in the "jazz-duet" nomination – Kseniia Kolomiiets;
- II place in the nomination "jazz-quartet" – Iryna Koretsman, Anastasiia Holub.
"Our team demonstrated high sports potential, the girls have been trained for a long time and every day, they devoted a lot of effort to honing each movement. Participation in large-scale sports events, victories of this level are an additional positive motivation for our athletes. There are a lot of new challenges, training and, hopefully, victories ahead! I am proud that, together with the students, we are making a significant personal contribution to the history of the glorious higher education institution, we are becoming part of its sports traditions!" – commented the coach, Master of Sports of Ukraine in cheerleading, Candidate of Sciences in Physical Education, Head of the Department of Physical Education of the Poltava Polytechnic Tetiana Synytsia.

According to the results of the performances at the Poltava City Championship, the female athletes of the Poltava Polytechnic were selected to participate in the Ukrainian Cheerleading Championship, which will be held on December 4, 2022 in the city of Lviv.
Previously, the cheerleaders of the Poltava Polytechnic already became the winners of the Cup of Ukraine and for the second time became the winners of the Championship of Ukraine.
