On January 22, 1918, for the first time in the 20th century, Ukrainians proclaimed the independence of their own state – the Ukrainian People's Republic and fought for the right to be "an autonomous, independent, free, sovereign state of the Ukrainian people." After the fall of the empires, Ukrainians united in their own state. Today, a little more than a century after the proclamation of the Act of Unification, we are united in defending our independence and our state.
Unity is not only territorial integrity but also spiritual consolidation and cohesion. We will return the occupied territories thanks to our unity and determination, thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Unity is the goal of Victory.
