Polytechnic graduate wins the gold award at The World Games 2022

A graduate of specialty 017 “Physical Culture and Sport” of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Oleh Pryimachov won a gold medal at The World Games 2022 in Muay Thai boxing held in Birmingham (USA).

In the city of Birmingham (Alabama, United States of America), The World Games 2022 ended, a large-scale international competition that became an analogue of the Olympics for non-Olympic sports. It is difficult to overestimate the prestige and high level of such sports events, many sportsmen from all over the world seek to participate in spectacular sports matches and demonstrate a bright game.

A graduate of specialty 017 “Physical Culture and Sports” of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Oleh Pryimachov became the winner of The World Games 2022 in the weight category of 91 kg. On the way to the final, the sportsman knocked out the Uzbek boxer Fanat Qahramonov and the Frenchman Jacky Jeanne, demonstrating cool techniques and holding a number of exciting duels.

In the match for the gold award, the Ukrainian was opposed by the American Matthew Baker, which did not prevent Oleh Pryimachov from winning a convincing victory and becoming the best in the weight category.

Previously, students of Poltava Polytechnic won the World Championship in Thai boxing, and the Muay Thai world champion received a scholarship from the head of the Poltava Regional State Administration.
