Polytechnic hosts a city student volleyball tournament among girls

The city's school volleyball tournament among girls born in 2007-2009 was held at the sports base of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic". Four teams competed for the main sports cup and presented the audience with interesting game moments.

Polytechnic hosts a city student volleyball tournament among girls

On November 29-30, the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" became the venue for the city's school volleyball tournament among girls born in 2007-2009. The players of four teams competed for the title of the best, who demonstrated a well-coordinated game and gave the audience incredibly exciting emotions.   

The tournament was attended by young athletes of the Poltava Specialized Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 2-I (coach – Moroz I.V.), the Poltava Specialized Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 2-II (coach – Moroz I. V.), the Tereshky Children's and Youth Sports School "Kolos" (coach – Nahorna A.A.) and the "Kharkivchanka" team (coach – Berlym I.A.). The chief judge of the competition became a senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Poltava Polytechnic Andrian Ostapov.

Our university and personally rector, head of the Sports Student Union of Ukraine in the Poltava Region and the Ukrainian Federation of Student Sports in the Poltava Region Volodymyr Onyshchenko, constantly takes care of the development of student sports in the Poltava region, creating comfortable conditions for holding all-Ukrainian, regional and city tournaments. Therefore, in the future, Poltava Polytechnic will be hospitably waiting for young sports talents who, I believe, will glorify the Poltava land at the highest international levels. I am sincerely grateful to the participants of the tournament and their mentors for the love of sports and the emotions they gave!" – greeted the participants Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Lina Rybalko.

According to the competition results, the gold medalist of the Poltava city school volleyball tournament among girls became the Specialized Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 2-I (coach – Moroz I.V.). The second place was won by the team of the Specialized Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 2-II (coach – Moroz I. V.), the third place was taken by the athletes of the Tereshky Children's and Youth Sports School "Kolos" (coach – Nahorna A.A.). The honorable fourth place was taken by the "Kharkivchanka" team (coach – Berlym I.A.).

The prize-winners and participants of the city school volleyball tournament among girls were awarded sports cups, certificates and incentive prizes.

Earlier, the Poltava Polytechnic held a regional chess championship among employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Military and Sports All-Around Championship, the Poltava Region Boxing Championship among youth, and Polytechnic students competed for the championship in sports billiards.
