On December 14, the first meeting of the renewed complement of the Youth Council of the Poltava Regional Council of Trade Unions took place, where they discussed priority areas of cooperation with local self-governments, government agencies as well as NGOs, youth organizations of Poltava and elected a new Head of the Youth Council.
Newly elected members of the Youth Council got to know each other better, established effective communication and shared their own stories of personal and professional growth during the training “How to become successful”. The applied training technologies helped the participants to identify a “leader among leaders”, to stimulate positive interest in each other, to reveal their own personal and professional “shticks”, to work out an effective model of internal communication.
Two candidates were nominated for the role of the Head of the Youth Council, each of whom presented oneself, one's own experience and practical cases of professional activity, answered the most pressing questions, and also presented to the audience the strategy for the Youth Council development. After the debate and secret ballot, the participants approved the election results and wished the newly elected colleagues inspiration, significant achievements and fruitful work.
Oleksandr Drobotia, Head of the Trade Union Committee of Students and Postgraduate Students of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, was elected as Head of the Youth Council of the Poltava Regional Council of Trade Unions; Nataliia Popova, Head of the Trade Union of Students of the Higher Vocational School №7 – as the Deputy Head; Arina Mazur, student of the Regional Center for Vocational Education №1 – as Secretary.
According to the newly elected Head of the Youth Council of the Poltava Regional Council of Trade Unions Oleksandr Drobotia, he considers the new stage of personal growth as an additional motivation for more dynamic promotion of creative ideas, and social initiatives in the field of youth policy: “I sincerely thank my colleagues for their trust, for me, personally, the appointment to such a responsible position is a unique opportunity to implement the invaluable professional experience gained at Poltava Polytechnic, in my hometown and Poltava region. There is a lot of work ahead as well as new perspectives, which we will definitely use!”
The new Head of the Youth Council of the Poltava Regional Council of Trade Unions is awarded with Citation of the Poltava Regional Council, helps students to study the practices of local self-government and parliamentarism.
