On 10 May 2024, the III Interdisciplinary Student Scientific Conference “Statistics in Everyday Life” was held at the Białystok University of Technology. The large-scale international event was held in a mixed format and was aimed at creating opportunities for presenting scientific achievements, research results and sharing experiences in the use of statistical tools.
Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Alina Hlushko and second-year student of speciality 072 Finance, Banking and Insurance of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law Oleksandr Tokar actively joined the scientific and educational event, focusing the audience’s attention on the powerful material and technical base of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”.
In the presentation, the speakers gave a comparative description of the programmes used by scientists and students of the National University “Poltava Polytechnic” in the process of statistical research as well as in the educational process, in particular in the discipline “Statistics”.
Representatives of Poltava Polytechnic presented the XLSTAT, MiniTab, Wizard tools for conducting statistical research in different fields and gave examples of their application.
In particular, the speakers focused on the key differences of XLSTAT, MiniTab and Wizard, which were revealed during the research. According to them, the description of the programmes that are currently used in the educational process of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” will help interested persons to make a choice about their use in their own work.
The participants of the Third Interdisciplinary Student Scientific Conference “Statistics in Everyday Life” express their sincere gratitude to Białystok University of Technology for the support and fruitful scientific and educational partnership.
Recently, a Polytechnic scientist has finished an international internship at the University of South Bohemia, and another scientist has improved her financial management skills by taking a training course at TG Consulting.
It should be recalled that earlier Polytechnic received an award from the National Bank of Ukraine for its active participation in the Global Money Week.
