Polytechnic scientist becomes a laureate of the Volodymyr Vernadskyi Award

On February 8, a meeting of the jury of the Volodymyr Vernadskyi Award of Poltava Regional Council took place, at which the scientific achievements of the candidates were considered and the winners were announced. Among this year's winners is Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation of Poltava Polytechnic Tetiana Kushnirova.

In accordance with the Provision on the Volodymyr Vernadskyi Award of Poltava Regional Council – a famous Ukrainian scientist with the world name, thinker, naturalist, the award is given in order to promote the development of national science and support talented scientists. The award is given to scientific and pedagogical workers of higher education institutions of III-IV accreditation levels, employees of research institutions, enterprises of Poltava region who have significant achievements in scientific and pedagogical as well as research activities, training of highly qualified specialists, conducting fundamental and applied researches.

At the meeting of the jury of the Volodymyr Vernadskyi Award of Poltava Regional Council under the guidance of the chairman of the jury – First Deputy Head of the Poltava Regional Council Oleksandr Lemeshko, members of the competition committee considered in detail the scientific achievements of candidates and determined the best ones in three nominations.

According to the decision of the jury, the laureates of the Volodymyr Vernadskyi Award of Poltava Regional Council in 2022 became:  

In the nomination "Academic activity at higher education institutions of I-II accreditation levels" the jury determined the winner Victoriia Baliuk, a lecturer of the Separated Structural Subdivision "Professional College of Management, Economics and Law of Poltava State Agrarian University" – for significant achievements in scientific, educational and methodological activities, a considerable personal contribution to the training of specialists for the national economic complex of Ukraine.

Scientist of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" – Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation Tetiana Kushnirova won in the nomination "Academic activity at higher education institutions of III-IV accreditation levels" for fruitful research work, introduction of innovations in education, activities related to the popularization and study of the scientific heritage of Volodymyr Vernadskyi.

In the nomination "Scientific activity at enterprises, establishments and organizations" won Tetiana Ustymenko, Professor of the Department of M. V. Ostrogradsky Poltava Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education – for many years of research as well as scientific and methodological activities related to the introduction of information literacy in education of the region.

The value of the Volodymyr Vernadskyi Award of Poltava Regional Council is five thousand hryvnias in each nomination, financing of the Award is carried out from the regional budget at the expense of allocations in the field of "Education" according to a separate estimate.

The awarding ceremony of the Award’s laureates will take place at the Poltava Regional Council on March 12, on Volodymyr Vernadskyi’s birthday.

The scientific and pedagogical staff as well as the student team of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" sincerely congratulate the laureate, wish her scientific enthusiasm, inspiration and new significant achievements!

It should be recalled that last year the professor of the Poltava Polytechnic became the winner of the Volodymyr Vernadskyi Award.

Earlier, students and scientists became laureates of scholarships of the Poltava Regional Council named after Ihor Serdiuk ta Andrii Konoplov.
