For significant personal contribution to state building, strengthening national security, socio-economic, scientific and technical, cultural and educational development of the Ukrainian state, considerable labor achievements, many years of hard work and on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi awarded Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Serhii Pichuhin with the honorary title of "Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine".
On September 1, during an extended meeting of the conference of the labor collective of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko congratulated the scientist and presented a badge to the honorary title of "Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine."
Head of the Scientific School "Reliability of Building Structures", laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology, doctor of Technical Sciences, professor of the Department of Building Structures of the Educational and Research Institute of Architecture, Construction and Land Management, graduate of the University in 1961 Serhii Pichuhin is a reputable scientist of international level, whose field of interest lies in the study of the reliability of metal structures, loads and influences on load-bearing structures. He was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for special merits to the Ukrainian people.

It is extremely gratifying that our daily, persistent and responsible work is celebrated and appreciated at a high state level. Scientist devoted half a century of his life and professional path to the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" and was awarded the title of "Honored Worker of the University". Under the scientific guidance of Professor Serhii Pichuhin, 2 doctors and 18 candidates of science, laureates of the President of Ukraine Prize for Young Scientists were prepared, and students repeatedly became winners and prize-winners of all-Ukrainian competitions of student research papers and international intellectual competitions.
