During March 3-5, 2023, the Poltava Region ISKA Kickboxing Open Championship among juniors was hosted on the basis of the Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, where the best kickboxers of the Poltava region demonstrated excellent physical fitness and confidently won the championship titles of prestigious competitions. The tournament was open, so kickboxers from all over Ukraine could challenge local athletes, and students of the "Tai-Pan" sports club from Kryvyi Rih took advantage of these benefits. The athletes competed in five different categories: "semi-contact", "light contact", "low-kick", "low-kick light" and "full contact".
The second-year student of the Educational and Research Institute of Information Technologies and Robotics of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Alen Marharian won the gold medal of the prestigious competition, having demonstrated the best result in the "low-kick" section in the weight category up to 63 kg. This victory was made possible thanks to the young man's enormous sports potential, hard training and innate abilities.
It is worth noting that the successful student and talented athlete of the Poltava Polytechnic has a number of honorary trophies and awards, in particular, recently Alen Marharian became the gold medalist of the WAKO Poltava Region Kickboxing Championship, having won a convincing victory in the "k-1" and "low-kick" sections.
We sincerely congratulate the athlete on his victory, we are proud of him, we wish him good health, significant personal achievements and good luck in conquering the peaks of the sports Olympus!
It should be recalled that the Open Championship of the Poltava Region in military and sports all-around, the Open Championship of the Poltava Region in boxing among male and female juniors, and the Championship of the Poltava Region in classical powerlifting were held in the Polytechnic.
Previously, the Polytechnic teacher Oksana Hordiienko became the champion of Ukraine in the classic bench press, the athletes of the Polytechnic became the gold medalists of the Championship of Ukraine in kettlebell sports among juniors and adults, the Polytechnic cheerleaders became the gold medalists of the XIX Championship of Ukraine among adults, male and female juniors, the team of the Polytechnic became the champion of the XVIII Universiade of Poltava region in basketball, Polytechnic teams won the All-Ukrainian sports billiard competition "Free Pyramid", Polytechnic student Dariia Holovko became the champion of Ukraine and the absolute bronze champion in powerlifting according to the IPF formula among female juniors, and student of FPCS Valeriia Koniukhova became the champion of Ukraine in powerlifting among girls.
