On May 3, 2021 the European Powerlifting Championship was held in Pilsen (Czech Republic).
Student of the Poltava Polytechnic Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas, group 201, Dariia Holovko presented the Ukrainian national team and competed in the weight category up to 43 kg.
The student won three small medals in separate exercises:
- squats: 1st place (102.5 kg);
- bench press: 2nd place (47.5 kg);
- in deadlift: 1st place (105 kg).
The winner's coach Oksana Hordiienko is Deputy Dean for educational work of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of Poltava Polytechnic, lecturer of the Department of Physical Therapy and Ergotherapy, master of sports of Ukraine of international class. Among her pupils is Dariia Brazhnyk, a world champion in powerlifting and a graduate of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports.
