On January 25, the results of the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian competition program "The Best Student of Ukraine" were announced, aimed at identifying and providing the necessary impetus for the further dynamic development of student youth of Ukraine as the vanguard of the development of modern society. The regional stage of the competition program and the determination of the winners in the nomination "The best student – a public figure of the Poltava region" took place with the initiative and comprehensive support of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Poltava Regional State Administration, the Poltava Regional Council and the Poltava Regional Branch of the All-Ukrainian Youth Public Organization "Student Republic", personal support members of the highly professional jury.
The participating students submitted competitive applications, were nominated and passed a thorough selection. The jury members highly appreciated the significant personal achievements of the presented candidates in the public life of the city of Poltava and the Poltava region. The jury included:
- Sarkis Ahadzanian – head of the Poltava Regional Armenian Public Organization "Urartu-Vank";
- Ivanna Verkhovska – volunteer, winner of the regional contest "Successful Woman of Poltava Region – Public Activist";
- Oleksandr Derbenov – head of the Public Council under the Poltava Regional State Administration;
- Larysa Dobryden – head of the public organization "Poltava local branch of the All-Ukrainian organization of the disabled people "Union of Organizations of the disabled people of Ukraine";
- Hanna Kiiashchenko – head of the Poltava branch of the Public Service of Ukraine;
- Serhii Korniienko – vice-president of the Ukrainian Federation of Bodybuilding, Fitness and Bodyfitness – WABBA UKRAINE, public figure, entrepreneur;
- Lidiia Misiurenko – head of the committee of the NGO "Mothers’ Union "Protection" in the Poltava region.
Based on the results of the jury's work, the winner and nominees of the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian competition program "The Best Student of Ukraine" were determined:
Nadiia Kobeletska, a participant in international academic projects, scholarship holder of the Poltava City Council, head of the Secretariat of the Student Parliament, a student of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" and Anna Derevianko, a student of Kremenchuk A.S. Makarenko Pedagogical College became the best student-public figures of the Poltava Region 2020/2022.
The silver medalist was a student of the Poltava State Medical University Yana Yushchenko.
A student of the Poltava State Medical University Daniil Yefimchuk took third place.
The nominees of the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian competition program "The Best Student of Ukraine" were:
- Yehor Vazhnychyi – a student of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic";
- Anastasiia Lukianchyk – a student of the Higher Educational Establishment of Ukoopspilka "Poltava University of Economics and Trade";
- Yuliia Lysenko – a student of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic";
- Tamila Shyrai – a student of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic".
Awarding of winners will take place at the regional level after the announcement of the names of the best in all ten nominations.
Representatives of the active student community, members of youth public organizations of the region will represent the Poltava region at the finals of the All-Ukrainian competition program "The Best Student of Ukraine".
"The Best Student of Ukraine" is an all-Ukrainian competition program designed to identify and provide an impetus for the further development of the student youth of Ukraine as the vanguard of the development of Ukrainian society.
The organizers of "The Best Student of Ukraine" program are the All-Ukrainian Youth Public Organization "Student Republic" and the People's Democratic Youth League. Organizational support is traditionally provided by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

It should be recalled that a student of the Poltava Polytechnic was recognized as the best athlete of the Poltava region.
