From August 24 to September 3, 2023, the 44th Arm Wrestling World Championship will be held in the city of Almaty (Kazakhstan). The national team of Ukraine, consisting of 54 athletes, is represented in almost all age categories.
A student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Valeriia Hrechana became the bronze medallist of the World Arm Wrestling Championship, winning the age category “junior 18”.

It should be recalled that earlier the student of the Polytechnic Volodymyr Lytvyn became the silver medallist of the Championship of Ukraine in arm wrestling among youth, adults and veterans, and the student of FPCS Ruslana Symonenko became the four-time gold medallist of the Championship of Ukraine.
Recently, FPCS student Nikita Solovei became the European champion in military-sports all-around, and the Polytechnic athletes became the prize-winners of the World Powerlifting Championship among female and male juniors, boys and girls.
