At an extended meeting of the Board of the Regional State Administration, the list of athletes who will receive a scholarship of the Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration was promulgated.
According to the Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Regional State Administration Vita Kovalska, at the meeting of the Department on July 15, 2020 the list of scholarship holders was revised and supplemented.
“These athletes are the pride of our region. We have increased the number of scholarship holders: starting from September 1, 2020, 11 more athletes participating in the Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic Games, World Universiades, World Cups and Championships as well as European Championships will receive a monthly financial award from the Regional State Administration. Thank you for your hard work. Every day you prove that you are the best. I believe that the biggest victories are still ahead,” – reported the Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
Among the scholarship holders of the Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration is a graduate and student of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”:
- Anastasiia Kovalchuk – Master of Sports of International Class of Ukraine in billiards, a graduate of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”
- Oleh Pryimachov – Master of Sports of International Class of Ukraine in Thai boxing Muay Thai, champion of Ukraine and the world, master’s student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”
Leading and promising athletes of the Poltava region have been receiving scholarships of the Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration since 2017. The amount of the scholarship is two minimum wages. This year it will be awarded to 36 athletes from the Poltava region.
