Fourth-year student of the specialty 035 Philology Yuliia Hordiievska and master’s student of the specialty 292 International Economic Relations of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Sofiia Davydovych will conduct a workshop based on the results of participation in the short-term youth exchange Erasmus+ “Youth Workers Going Green”, which took place in Poland in September, 2023, where they studied youth approaches in the development of environmental projects at the regional and national levels.
Students will explain the 3R rule: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and share their own ideas on how to become more environmentally conscious, to be more responsible for the nature around us, how to improve the state of the ecological system and fight pollution of air, forests, rivers, lakes and cities in conditions of the modern world.
The speakers will also talk about youth exchanges and trainings under the Erasmus+ programme, current opportunities for participation in such programmes, and will introduce workshop participants to a project in which they recently participated.
Date and place of the event: October 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the Siemens Oil and Gas Industry Training Centre (room 125 C).
Students of all courses and specialties of the Poltava Polytechnic are invited to participate.
Recently, translation students took part in the Erasmus+ youth exchange in Italy and learned how through children’s games one can learn teamwork, creativity, self-reflection and social integration; Polytechnic master’s students received two state scholarships from the Czech government and mastered the Czech language at Summer Schools of Slavic Studies on the basis of Palacký University in Olomouc and Masaryk University in Brno, participants of the long-term academic mobility program talked about the peculiarities of studying in Greenland, and five female students philologists undergo internship in the international department of the Romanian partner university.
Previously, Polytechnic students studied the preservation of natural resources and economic growth of young people through a healthy lifestyle, took part in the Erasmus+ project dedicated to the development of Europeans’ environmental awareness, and philology students mastered practical skills in the field of ecology and environmental protection.
