The Start Program in the MASA project by Tlalim Company was created taking into account the young specialists’ interests, allowing to receive professional experience in Israel and learn more about the country, as the organizers said. The courses presented the professional life of different cities according to the participant’s choice, such as Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Eilat. The duration of the course also depended on the chosen location. The company organized internships in both private and state companies, as well as in the scientific areas.

One of the peculiarities of the program was the classes of Hebrew and the possibility to learn the language at least to the level of everyday and workplace communication.

“My internship lasted from February to June, 2020. The program was realized at the Faculty of Exact Sciences of Tel Aviv University. I learned how to use the platform of geo-informational systems QGIS (used for processing and analyzing the traffic in Jerusalem), the MATSim application (used for modeling and predicting the transport flows), and POSTGRES at the Department of Environment and Earth Sciences. I was also improving the language level during the whole period of the internship. The program is built for the participants to dive into the peculiarities of work, life and culture of this country, so they live in conditions close to the ones of Israel citizens,” Tetiana Lvovska said.

The Tlalim Company has 40 years of experience in touristic services and initiating various programs in the education field. The MASA project was created on the initiative of the Jewish Agency, the Government of Israel, and with the support of American philanthropists. The MASA grant is a subsidy supported financially by the Government of Israel and the Jewish Agency Sochnut. The size of the grant is determined individually.
