Polytechnic teacher wins the bronze medal of the Ukrainian Karate Championship among adults

Master of sports of Ukraine in karate, teacher of the Department of Physical Education of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Oleksandr Kosiak became the bronze medalist of the Ukrainian Karate Championship among adults, which was held in Lviv.

From November 4 to 6, 2022, the Ukrainian Karate Championship among cadets, juniors and adults took place in the city of Lviv, during which candidates for the country's national team were determined. Athletes from different parts of Ukraine demonstrated excellent results and a high level of physical fitness during the matches. Highly qualified judges determined the winners and prize-winners in various age and weight categories, and the audience actively supported the competitors.

Master of sports of Ukraine in karate, teacher of the Department of Physical Education of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Oleksandr Kosiak won the bronze medal of the Ukrainian Karate Championship among adults. The athlete replenished his own treasury with an award of the All-Ukrainian level and demonstrated excellent combat techniques.

"Oleksandr showed a high level of training. He won a bronze medal and a place in the International Karate Tournament in Indonesia as part of the National Karate Team of Ukraine. The tournament will start next week and we will be rooting for him! I am proud of the sports achievements of the employees of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic"! Previously, the team of the Polytechnic became the champion of the XVIII Universiade of Poltava region in volleyball among women and men, three athletes of the Polytechnic became prize-winners of the Championship and the European Cup in kettlebell sports, the graduate of the Polytechnic Ivan Mai became the world champion in table tennis among Paralympic athletes, the Polytechnic athlete won the silver medal of the Championship of Poltava region in freestyle wrestling among cadets, the athletes of the Polytechnic became the prize-winners of the All-Ukrainian tournament in kettlebell sports "Pereiaslavska Autumn-2022", and freshman Vladyslav Shavyro won the gold medal of the Open Taekwondo Tournament "Pokalturnier Bretten".
