Polytechnic team becomes the champion of the XVIII Universiade of the Poltava region in volleyball

The team of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” became the champion of the XVIII Universiade of the Poltava region in men’s and women’s volleyball. Polytechnic athletes demonstrated a high level of training and coordinated team play on the volleyball court.

Polytechnic team becomes the champion of the XVIII Universiade of the Poltava region in volleyball

During November 1-7, 2022, the Poltava State Agrarian University hosted the XVIII Poltava Region Volleyball Competition for men and women. Student teams of higher education institutions of the Poltava fiercely competed for the main sports trophy. The chief judge of the competition was Viktor Bondarenko.

The men’s and women’s teams of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, under the leadership of an experienced coach, senior teacher of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports Andrian Ostapov, won the absolute championship of the XVIII Universiade of the Poltava region in volleyball among men and women. The Polytechnic athletes demonstrated excellent physical condition, a high level of preparation and coordinated team play on the volleyball court.

According to the results of the XVIII Universiade of the Poltava region in volleyball, the top three were:

  • team of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”;
  • team of Poltava University of Economics and Trade;
  • team of Poltava State Agrarian University.

The teams of Poltava Law Institute and Poltava State Medical University also became active participants of the Universiade.

It should be recalled that Poltava Polytechnic hosted the Poltava Region Boxing Championship, Polytechnic students won first place in sports billiards.

Earlier, three Polytechnic athletes became prize-winners of the Championship and the European Cup in kettlebell sports, and a Polytechnic graduate, Ivan Mai, became the World Champion in table tennis among Paralympic athletes.
