In pursuance of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 11.03.2020 No. 211 “On Prevention of COVID-19 Coronavirus Spread on the Territory of Ukraine” and in accordance with the letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine of 11.03.2020 No. 1/9-154 National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” announces switching the educational process to the distance form and mass events prohibition at the university campus during the nationwide quarantine in period from March, 12 to April, 3, 2020.
The special education mode concerns not only students, but also further educational courses hearers, the preparatory division students. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine recommends that educational institutions should:
- forgo holding and participating in mass events in the buildings and on the territory of the institutions, including mock external independent testing, academic and sports competitions, contests, exhibitions etc.;
- not assign students and employees to the countries with high risk of contracting the virus;
- inform students and employees about the ways of illness spread prevention and the actions which should be taken in case of detecting symptoms;
- develop ways to hold online classes with the help of information technologies and to add classes according to study plans after the epidemiological situation normalization;
- introduce measures of switching employees to working from home;
- ensure preventive measures to avoid mass spreading of the flu caused by the Coronavirus and other infections;
- provide places to isolate those having symptoms of respiratory infections in dormitories of vocational training institutions, undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate institutions;
- execute the decisions of temporary regional epidemiological commissions;
- limit the planned meetings, controls and inspections until the epidemiological situation has normalized.

Remember that simply washing your hands protects not only from the new Coronavirus but from other dangerous infections too.
How to protect yourself:
- wash your hands for 20-40 seconds with warm water and soap or use hand sanitizers which contain more than 60% alcohol;
- avoid close contact with people having respiratory infection symptoms (keep the minimum distance of 1,5 m);
- do not touch your face, especially eyes, nose and mouth;
- cook in high temperatures (especially meat, its sub-products and eggs);
- in case of first respiratory infection symptoms appearance contact your doctor immediately.
