National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" has been fruitfully cooperating in the field of education and science with Bialystok University of Technology for many years – one of the most progressive European partner universities and the largest polytechnic university in northeastern Poland.
Recently, rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, made a partnership visit and discussed with the rector, Professor Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, the opportunities for studying for Poltava Polytechnic students, internships for teachers, as well as expanding the areas of cooperation started in 2014. However, in the context of the escalation of the war, the rector decided to participate online in the celebrations on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year and to thank Polish friends for their support of Ukraine.
Bialystok University of Technology helped many Ukrainians fleeing the war. The campuses became their refuge, the university organized free Polish language courses, specialized online courses in Ukrainian, opened the Erasmus+ program for students, postgraduates and doctoral students.
"It is extremely important that from the first days of the war, the Bialystok University of Technology staff helped the Poltava Polytechnic staff and accepted our students and young scientists under the academic mobility program.
As an honorary professor of the Bialystok University of Technology, I am extremely pleased to feel such solidarity with Ukraine, so, taking this opportunity, I thanked the entire Polish people for their tangible support of Ukraine in these difficult times for our state, the entire academic community, teachers and students of the Bialystok University of Technology for their support and unquestionable faith in the victory of Ukraine!
I am proud that Poltava Polytechnic has such a reliable partner and true friend as the Bialystok University of Technology!

It should be recalled that the Rector of National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of the Bialystok University of Technology, and during the Polish-Ukrainian rector's seminar he presented the successful experience of cooperation with Polish universities and the policy of supporting young scientists.
