The event brought together representatives of local authorities, local self-governments, educators, graduates of general secondary education institutions in Horishni Plavni, scientists and lecturers of higher education institutions of Poltava region to discuss ways to optimize professional self-determination of modern youth, future graduates through demands and competition in today's labor market.
National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" has a number of agreements on scientific and educational cooperation with educational institutions and territorial communities of the region, and conducts preparatory courses for the External Independent Evaluation (ZNO). There is a consultation point for entrants.
Rector of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko presented the main areas of preparing the highly qualified specialists, the most up-to-date educational and professional programs of the university, which every future student can choose.
"The right choice of profession is the key to a successful future! Today, you, dear graduates, are making a very important decision: what profession to choose, what subjects of External Independent Evaluation to select in order to definitely become a student of the desired university. To date, taking into account the issue of energy independence of our state, I understand that such educational subjects as physics, chemistry, mathematics raise a lot of questions, but believe me – this knowledge is the future of our country!
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that such areas of preparing as mining, mechanical engineering, electrical systems, mechanical engineering, robotics, IT technology, automated control systems, construction, utilities are all those specialties about which we, talking with the Mayor Dmytro Hennadiiovych, discussed the prospects of personnel who should work in your wonderful town.
From November 1, 2021 preparatory courses of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" are held at the secondary school of I-III degrees №3 named after V.O. Nyzhnychenko in order to help you, dear graduates, to prepare well for the External Independent Evaluation (ZNO).
By the way, it is extremely pleasant to note that among the winners of the II All-Ukrainian competition-defence of scientific works of schoolchildren of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the largest number of representatives are the residents of Horishni Plavni. And even in the 3rd stage there are winners in engineering and technical specialties, I remember a wonderful girl who took first place.
I can talk a lot about the university, but I think it's better to see it once. Therefore, I kindly invite all graduates to a campus tour at the university, which has more than 200 years of educational traditions, but confidently steps into the future, introducing modern innovative technologies.

Participants of the annual City Scientific and Practical Conference "Career Guidance: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" discussed in detail the issues of conscious choice of future specialty, employment of graduates of Ukrainian universities, shared successful experiences of partnership with local governments and business in the field of science and education. At the end of the event, the partakers identified priority areas for further cooperation and support for a constructive dialogue aimed at solving the most pressing issues of general secondary and higher education in the Poltava region.
In the spring, schoolchildren of Poltava region were told how to choose a profession; scientific and pedagogical staff of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" organized an intellectual cafeteria "A person for profession or profession for a person."
