Leading Ukrainian universities, state organizations and business companies from the field of construction are now combining their own powerful potential for the extremely urgent work on the reconstruction projects in Ukraine. National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", as one of the best classical universities in the country, is engaged in high-quality practical training of specialists in civil and industrial construction, and its graduates confidently prove their competitiveness in the labor market.
Rector of the Poltava Polytechnic, laureate of the State Prize in Science and Technology, member of the Presidium of the Academy of Civil Engineering of Ukraine and head of the Poltava Territorial Branch of the ACEU, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko took an active part in the regular meeting of the ACEU Presidium. The Institute of Innovative Education of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture became a platform for fruitful discussions and professional communication with the participation of scientists and experts.
The President of the Academy of Civil Engineering of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Ivan Nazarenko reported on the activities of the Academy in the conditions of a full-scale war with russia and the main priorities that the Academy is working on, in particular, the promotion of innovations and innovators in the construction industry of Ukraine. The heads of departments acted as co-speakers.
The scientific and technical center of the Academy of Civil Engineering of Ukraine and the charity organization "International Construction Fund "Ukraine" (president of the fund O.A. Stetsenko) developed a project of an individual energy-saving house with the symbolic name "Biden". The attendees were interested in innovative development, scientists and practitioners discussed the advantages of this project.
Director of the Scientific and Technical Center of the Academy of Civil Engineering of Ukraine, Ivan Perehinets, presented in detail the characteristics of the new development of the ecological building of the future and the prospects for its implementation, in particular in the areas that suffered the greatest destruction. The main emphasis of the designers was on the safety of life and effective use of natural resources, environmentally friendly materials and care for the environment.
"I am firmly convinced that stimulating the activity and initiative of intellectual and production-technical potential in the construction industry is the basis of the scientific and technical development of the state both in the conditions of the market economy and in conditions of war and post-war reconstruction. In my own position, I fully support the Vice-President of the Academy of Civil Engineering of Ukraine, Chairman of the Union of Rectors of Ukraine, Rector of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, dear Petro Musiiovych Kulikov, regarding the more active role of the Academy of Civil Engineering in project work on the restoration of infrastructure destroyed by the enemy and the introduction of certification courses for architects in regional branches of the ACEU!
In response to the destruction caused by the enemy, Ukrainian science and industry will respond with large-scale implementation of new technologies, materials, structures and engineering solutions into construction practice! Science is stronger than war!" – commented the Rector of National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
According to the head of the Poltava Polytechnic, it is important to preserve and increase the existing potential of the construction industry, even in the conditions of military aggression, so that future professionals feel interested in their own professional realization, and their knowledge serves to restore destroyed, mutilated by the enemy human housing, critical objects.
At the end of the meeting, the participants approved the relevant resolution and once again determined the priority areas of cooperation in the field of science, education and business.
It is worth noting the fact that the Academy of Civil Engineering of Ukraine includes not only certified representatives of academic science, but also experienced production workers, laureates of State Prizes, honored workers of science and technology, honored builders of Ukraine, employees of higher education, leading specialists in the construction industry.
Previously, Polytechnic professors were appointed to the expert councils of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on attestation of scientific personnel, and students-architects became finalists of the national competition "Steel Freedom 2022".
