How can young people and youth councils influence changes in their community? How to become more effective and establish sustainable partnerships in times of challenges and uncertainty? You will find the answers to these and other important questions thanks to thematic online trainings under the "Active Citizens" program from the British Council in Ukraine. The organizers were the NGO "Sustainable Development Agency "Khmarochos (Skyscraper)" and the NGO "Ukrainian Association of Young Councils".
"Active Citizens" is a program of the British Council for young people in the field of intercultural dialogue and social development. Its goal is to promote social change and ensure sustainable development by building a network of young leaders, providing them with knowledge and skills that will contribute to building relationships between people on the basis of equality, respect for diversity and the ability to conduct a conflict-free dialogue.
All interested persons who are members of youth councils (of educational institutions (student councils, councils of young scientists, etc.), community youth councils, regional youth councils, associations of youth councils, etc.) who have ideas and projects to improve life around and solve social problems at the local level can participate in the training.
Thanks to the training, you will:
- gain practical skills that will help change the society around you;
- learn about new tools for working with young people, establishing partnerships in the community, developing youth volunteering and supporting social cohesion;
- improve the ability to write social action projects;
- have the opportunity to participate in the mini-grant competition from the British Council and win funding for your project;
- receive an international certificate and access to opportunities for professional and personal growth together with the "Active Citizens" program.
