The academicians of Department of Automatics, Electronics and Telecommunications of Education and Research Institute of Information Technology and Mechanotronics of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” held the VI All-Ukrainian Conference “Electronic and Mechanical Systems: Theory, Innovations, Practice” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Poltava Polytechnic. In total, more than 100 representatives of Ukrainian higher education institutions, the scientific society and the top-management of various companies took part in the conference and the discussion of current problems of automatized system development.

The organization committee of the conference included PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Vice Rector for Scientific and International Affairs of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Svitlana Sivitska, PhD in Engineering, Deputy Director of Education and Research Institute of Information Technology and Mechanotronics of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Inna Khomenko and Doctor of Engineering, Deputy Head of Department of Automatics, Electronics and Telecommunications of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Oleksandr Shefer (moderator of the plenary sitting of the conference).

“The young scientists’ activity at our university is aimed at presenting the results of modern scientific research in automation, electronics, mechanics and power engineering. I am sure that learning about the results of introducing innovative ideas into a real economic sector of Ukraine will be interesting not only for students, but also for specialists who work in this field. I hope that this conference becomes a continuation of the fruitful cooperation of science and business, a new turn of the dialogue between education and science, business and government, realized at university in the recent years,” Oleksandr Shefer emphasized.

During the conference, the following presentations were delivered:

  • “Solar power station integrated for personal use for business centers” by Hennadii Polovykh, Director of Lumos Ukraine LLC;
  • “New trends in automation for internal logistics of companies” by Ivan Tryhuba, AGB-Control Technical Support Engineer at IT Grand LLC;
  • “Building algorithms of optimizing transportation system with the help of weighted graphs” by Mykhailo Viter, PhD in Mathematics and Physics, Associate Professor of National University of Transport;
  • “Cybersecurity in the modern world” by Andrii Sokorenko, PhD student of Department of Automatics, Electronics and Telecommunications of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”;
  • “The research of balancing robot models in the MATLAB, SIMULINK environments” by Yevhen Bryzhan, graduate student of Department of Automatics, Electronics and Telecommunications of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”.

“I would like to thank the speakers and the participants of the conference for high-quality presentations and fruitful joined work. As for me, the discussion of current theoretic and practical problems of modern automation, electronics, mechanics and power engineering makes a great contribution into the efficiency of modern scientific thought and makes for promotion of scientific and practical research. May you be healthy, have creative successes and scientific achievements!” Doctor of Engineering, Deputy Head of Department of Automatics, Electronics and Telecommunications of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Oleksandr Shefer summarized the plenary meeting.

Last year, during the conference the business representatives shared innovative ideas on using solar power and presented the possibilities of developing renewable power in Poltava region.

A collection of articles will be published in accordance with the results of the conference.
