Scientists exchange creative management cases at an international conference in Bialystok

Scientists of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" participated in a large-scale scientific conference – 11th International Conference on Engineering, Project, and Production Management. Scientists from around the world deliberated on a number of leading achievements in the field of engineering management, project management and production.

During September 19-21, 2021, a large-scale 11th International Conference on Engineering, Project, and Production Management was held on the basis of the Bialystok Technological University. It was attended by about a hundred scientists, analysts and researchers, lecturers of leading European institutions of higher education, and sub-professionals. The extensive event was co-organized by the Association of Engineering, Project, and Production Management, Bialystok University of Technology, Cracow University of Technology, and the International Society for Manufacturing, Service and Management Engineering.

The event was held online, which did not prevent the conference participants from briskly discussing and gettting comprehensive answers to current questions.

The purpose of the EPPM-2021 conference is to bring together scientists, students and sub-professionals from all over the world to deliberate on current research issues, innovative developments in engineering management, project management and production. The conference was attended by renowned scholars – Seventh President of the Walsh University (Ohio, USA) Dr. Timothy J. Collins, Professor of Strategic Management at the Berlin School of Economics and Law, Dr. Caroline V. Rudzinski, and Ibon Zugasti, Director of the European Institute for Future Studies and many others leading scientists and sub-professionals from around the world.

Bialystok Polytechnic is one of the strategic international partners of the university. The cooperation between the universities, initiated by the Rector of the National University " Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic ", Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, (and now Honorary Professor of Bialystok Polytechnic), is a vivid example of effective international cooperation: academic mobility and double diploma programs, being implemented, joint conferences, summer schools and courses are held constantly, the Ukrainian-Polish center was opened, where university students study the Polish language.

The scientific and pedagogical community of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" was represented by scientists of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law Olha Komelina, Iryna Pasichna, Svitlana Shcherbinina, Kseniia Chychulina, Liana Ptashchenko, Iryna Chychkalo-Kondratska, Alona Buriak, PhD-students – Anna Cherviak, Iryna Novytska and Dariia Ovcharenko, a student of the International Economic Relations.

In particular, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Head of the Department of Management and Logistics of Poltava Polytechnic Olha Komelina joined the active discussion of creative management and shared practical cases of scientific and project activities.

Candidate of Law, Associate Professor of Department of Public Governance, Administration and Law of the University Iryna Pasichna presented the report "Certain aspects of disciplinary liability for corruption offenses", which analyzed the existing legislation on corruption prevention, in particular, the grounds and procedure for bringing to disciplinary liability civil servants and local self-government officials.

Candidate of Economic Sciences, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Economic Theory and Economic Cybernetics Svitlana Shcherbinina presented her own research on approaches to determining the structure of the economic potential of enterprises.

An interesting report "Enterprise resources: concepts and their composition, resource usage indicators" was presented by Kseniia Chychulina, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Marketing of Poltava Polytechnic. The scientist noted that for the optimal use of resources it is necessary to identify and assess the factors that affect the overall indicators of their use: yield per unit of assets, labor productivity, etc.

The lecturer of the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation – Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department Liana Ptashchenko and PhD-student of the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation Anna Cherviak joined the discussion of current forecasting issues in the system of ensuring the economic security of financial institutions.

Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism Iryna Chychkalo-Kondratska and Assistant of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism, PhD-student Iryna Novytska became active participants in the discussion and deliberation on relevant issues.

In the discussion of the directions of transformation of global investment flows under the influence of the global COVID-19 pandemic also took part Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Alona Buriak and, a student of International Economic Relations.

During the conference, scientists of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" spoke about their own developments in this field and shared their thoughts on overcoming the problems of entering domestic producers of organic products on the foreign market. For lecturers and students of the university, the EPPM-2021 conference was a great opportunity to meet colleagues, exchange experience and expand the acquired professional competencies.

Last year Poltava Polytechnic became a partner of the International Web Conference on Changes in Cooperation and Higher Education 2020 – an international conference on changes and development of international cooperation in higher education, organized by Bialystok Polytechnic.
