During the meeting of the Academic Council, Acting Rector of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko presented the certificates of academic ranks and diplomas to the scientists.
“I am very pleased that despite the war and all the difficult challenges, our university continues to form highly qualified personnel and the scientific activity of Poltava Polytechnic is at a high international level! I wish you, dear colleagues, personal and professional achievements in science for the benefit of Ukraine! Science is stronger than war! Glory to Ukraine!” – commented the head of Poltava Polytechnic, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
According to the decision of the Certification Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine of 20 December, 2023, which supported the previous decision of the Academic Council of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, the academic titles of associate professors were awarded to three university scientists of the Educational and Research Institute of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Land Management, Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas as well as Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy:
- Oksana Demchenko – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering;
- Kateryna Palii – Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation;
- Viktor Bredun – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Ecology and Environmental Management.
Four researchers from the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law, the Educational and Research Institute of Information Technology and Robotics, and the Educational and Research Institute of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Land Management received their Doctor of Philosophy degrees. They, even in the face of constant massive enemy attacks and frequent air raids, successfully presented and defended their dissertations:
- Stanislav Bilko – Doctor of Philosophy in the field of Social and Behavioural Sciences, speciality Economics;
- Yurii Korotych – Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in Industrial Engineering;
- Dmytro Ovsii – Doctor of Philosophy in Architecture and Construction, speciality Civil and Environmental Engineering;
- Roman Razdui – Doctor of Philosophy degree in Architecture and Construction, speciality Construction and Civil Engineering.
It should be recalled that a postgraduate student of Polytechnic successfully defended his dissertation research on the information security of the national economy, another postgraduate student successfully defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the speciality 192 Civil and Environmental Engineering, and the staff of Poltava Polytechnic was awarded for working with gifted youth and cooperation with Poltava Regional Junior Academy of Sciences.
Recently, a Polytechnic scientist took part in a workshop on managing internationalisation and Ukrainian-German academic cooperation at a leading European university, a Polytechnic scientist presented a report on plundering cultural property as a strategy of the aggressor country, and Polytechnic teachers and students took part in a hackathon at Widzem University of Applied Sciences.
