National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” continues its triumphant journey in the international academic space! In the global ranking SCImago Institutions Rankings 2025, the university made an impressive breakthrough, rising from the 46th to the 29th place among the best Ukrainian higher education institutions. It keeps holding the leading positions, being ranked 1st among the universities of Poltava subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
It is a recognition of the high level of research, innovations and international cooperation of our university! Poltava Polytechnic is confidently moving to new heights, strengthening its status as one of the most prestigious educational and scientific centres in the country.
The international ranking of educational institutions, The SCImago Institutions Rankings 2025, presented 5051 world universities, 61 of which are Ukrainian higher education institutions.
SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) is an international classification of academic and research institutions. The ranking was launched in 2009 and uses data from exclusively independent sources: the Scopus bibliometric database, the Patstat international patent database and webometric databases. Universities are evaluated based on three key indicators:
– Research—research productivity and impact.
– Innovation—the quantity and quality of developments that contribute to technological development.
– Social impact—visibility in the web space, participation of women in science, contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and influence on public policy.
Poltava Polytechnic’s achievements in the international ranking are not only the success of the university, but also an important contribution to the prestige of the whole Ukrainian education and science.
