In order to identify scientific and innovative projects in Poltava region, popularize and intensify scientific and innovative activities, create new projects, the decision of the second plenary session of the fourth session of the Poltava Regional Council of the eighth convocation of April 9, 2021 No. 137 approved the Regional Program to support scientific and innovative activities in the Poltava region for 2021–2024 and established a competition for the selection of scientific and innovative projects on priority directions of science and technology, strategic directions of innovation activity, according to the Department of Education and Science of Poltava Regional State Administration.
The participants of the Competition may be subjects of scientific as well as scientific and technical activities determined by the Law of Ukraine "On Scientific and Scientific and Technical Activities" and subjects of innovative activity determined by the Law of Ukraine "On Innovation Activity". The competition does not consider projects for which their performers have already been awarded state awards of Ukraine.
Projects can be presented only in the priority areas of science and technology as well as priority areas of innovation, which are determined in Section 4 of the "Regional Program to support scientific and innovation activities in the Poltava region for 2021-2024."
Projects submitted to the competition are divided into categories:
- scientific projects, which may include fundamental and applied researches;
- innovation projects.
The start date of the competitive selection is January 4, the deadline for submission of documents for participation in the competition is February 3, 2022. Selection, consideration of projects, and determination of finalists is carried out within 5 months from the date of announcement of the Competition
