On May 6, 2022, the IECM sent a letter to the heads of higher education institutions regarding the submission of candidates for the scholarship of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. Students who affirm the ideals and values of the Revolution of Dignity through their active civic position will receive academic scholarships established in honour of the 10 youngest Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. The application deadline is June 15.
Academic scholarships are available to students and cadets of state higher education institutions pursuing higher education in the fields of Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy, Railway Transport, Agro Engineering, Economics, Military Administration (by type of armed forces), Geography, Architecture and Urban Planning, Software Engineering, Performing Arts, and Psychology.
One student may be delegated from each institution. The selection of candidates is carried out by the highest collegial body of student (cadet) self-government based on the results of the winter session from among:
- students who have significant success in their studies and/or scientific, social, sports (creative) activities and have been eligible for an academic scholarship, occupy rating positions within the top 10% of the rating;
- cadets who have achieved significant success in their studies and/or scientific, social, sports (creative) activities and have exemplary military discipline.
To delegate a candidate for an academic scholarship, higher education institutions must send a set of documents:
- a cover letter signed by the head of the educational institution;
- a decision (extract from the decision) of the highest student self-government body and attach materials confirming the active civic position of the student (cadet);
- motivation letter (for the student);
- an extract from the decision of the scholarship committee confirming the student's right to receive an academic scholarship (for a student);
- materials confirming successes and achievements (for a cadet).
The materials can be in the form of a portfolio and contain everything the nominee wishes (certificates, letters of recommendation, photos, etc.).
The documents should be sent to the address of the Institute of education content modernization: 36, Metropolitan Vasyl Lypkivskyi St., Kyiv, 03035, to Olha Soroka, or a scanned electronic version in PDF format via e-mail: o.soroka1982@gmail.com with the note “candidate for scholarship”.
Last year, two female students of Poltava Polytechnic were awarded scholarships of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
