The term of postgraduate studies in intramural and extramural forms takes 4 years.
Postgraduate studies end with the defence of the dissertation by the postgraduate student and awarding them the Doctor of Philosophy degree.
Postgraduate students exercise the rights of applicants for higher education, defined by the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”. In particular, they are entitled to:
- academic mobility, which is implemented in accordance with the Regulations on the procedure for exercising the right to academic mobility;
- free access to all types of open scientific information available in higher educational institutions (scientific institutions), libraries and state archives of Ukraine;
- receiving methodical and meaningful scientific advice on their own research from the supervisor;
- safe and harmless conditions for conducting scientific research, providing a properly equipped place for scientific work.
Postgraduate students also have the right to participate in competitions for grant support of research and scholarships devoted to honourable figures of science, education, culture, public figures, as well as those established by the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, governmental or non-governmental bodies, enterprises, institutions or organisations.
Foreign citizens are enrolled in graduate school during the year.
The following documents are submitted for admission to postgraduate studies:
1) application;
2) a copy of the master’s/specialist’s diploma (together with the appendix to it) with the indication of the acquired specialty (qualification);
3) personnel record card and autobiography;
4) list of published scientific works and inventions. Entrants who do not have published scientific papers and inventions, submit scientific reports (abstracts) on their chosen scientific specialty;
5) 2 photos 3x4 cm.
The originals of passport, military registration document and diploma of higher education must be presented by the applicant in person.
