Student Mykhailo Serdiuk becomes the champion of Ukraine in Muay Thai boxing among youth

A student of the Educational and Research Institute of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Land Management of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Mykhailo Serdiuk became the gold medalist of the Ukrainian Championship in Muay Thai Boxing among adults, held in Odesa. The athlete demonstrated excellent results in the weight category up to 54 kg.

Student Mykhailo Serdiuk becomes the champion of Ukraine in Muay Thai boxing among youth

On October 13-16, 2022, with the support and comprehensive assistance of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Muay Thai Boxing Federation, the Ukrainian Championship in Muay Thai Boxing among adults and youth (III-IV rank) was held in the city of Odesa. Professional athletes and representatives of youth sports clubs from sixteen regions of our country came to the seaside city to compete with experienced opponents, demonstrate spectacular fights and determine the best fighters in certain weight and age categories. 

The student of group 201-BM of the Educational and Research Institute of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Land Management of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Mykhailo Serdiuk won the gold medal at the Ukrainian Championship in Muay Thai Boxing in the weight category up to 54 kg. The athlete became the best in the age category for youth – 17 years and older.

The judges of the Championship were experienced mentors, in particular, representatives of the Department of Tactical and Special Physical Training of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs – senior lecturer, police captain Ruslan Kushnirenko and lecturer, police major Bohdan Lukin, who noted the excellent physical fit of the athletes and the high level of conducting these competitions.

We sincerely congratulate the champion on another sports victory! We are proud, we wish him good health, vitality, significant personal achievements in conquering new sports peaks!

It should be recalled that the student Mykhailo Serdiuk became the bronze medalist of the World Cup in martial arts among students and the champion of the European Universities Games-2022.

Previously, a first-year student of the Poltava Polytechnic Pavlo Korobov won four gold awards at the Open Kickboxing Championships of the city of Poltava, a student of the FPCS Kateryna Petrenko won five medals at the Rowing Championships of Ukraine on the “Dragon” boats and became a bronze medalist at the Dragon Boat World Championships, a student of the Polytechnic Nikita Solovei became the gold medalist of the Open Championship in military-sports all-around, students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports won a set of awards at the Canoeing and Kayaking Championships of Ukraine, and a student of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas became the world champion in powerlifting among juniors.
