On September 24, 2022, in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the city of Oleksandriia, Kirovohrad region, the Open Championships in military sports all-around took place, in which 130 athletes representing 12 sports clubs took part. The teams of the sports clubs of Oleksandriia, Kropyvnytskyi and Onufriivka, as well as professional athletes from Poltava, Kharkiv and Kremenchuk, demonstrated yet again traditionally high sports results and excellent physical form.
A student of academic group 401-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Master of Sports of Ukraine in military-sports all-around Nikita Solovei won the gold award and received the Cup of the Open Championships for the best technique in the “Combat Dueling” section. The athlete took first place in the B-3 version (full contact) in the weight category up to 65 kg.
The participants and winners of the Open Championships of the Kirovohrad region in military-sports all-arounds were congratulated by the Deputy Mayor of Oleksandriia Iryna Chemerys, the President of the International Union of Military-Sports All-Arounds Volodymyr Levin and the President of the All-Ukrainian Federation of Military-Sports All-Arounds Andrii Yaroshevskyi. They noted the high level of physical training of the athletes and wished them new bright victories at the Ukrainian sports Olympus.
Based on the results of the matches in the age categories from 8 to 39 years old, a team of the best athletes will be formed to represent the Kirovohrad region at the Championships of Ukraine in military-sports all-around.
During the sports tournament, there was a fund-raising and all money collected will be transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It should be recalled that at the beginning of the year, the student became a nominee of the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian competition program “Best Student of Ukraine”.
Recently, students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports won a set of awards at the Canoeing and Kayaking Championships of Ukraine, and the Polytechnic athlete became a bronze medalist at the World Dragon Boat Championships.
